I’m currently building a startup in robotics and manufacturing in San Francisco.
I founded Dashworks, an AI search startup acquired by HubSpot. Previously, I worked on language modeling at Cresta, robotics at Blue River, drug discovery at Stanford, and more robotics at CMU.
I sometimes angel invest and have backed companies like Hopper, Enam, FlowGen, Midship (acq), and Refuel (acq).
I am an optimist in technology as a great lever for improving the human condition and ensuring human flourishing, and ultimately, in helping us figure out what is really going on?
Some areas I find particularly exciting:
- Space. Exploring and colonizing space with self-replicating automated factories, the most realistic path to do so in our lifetimes.
- Superintelligence. Private and local, and with a high bandwidth connection to the brain, so it is nearly indistinguishable from just thinking.
- Energy. I believe unlocking cheap and abundant energy is the ultimate enabler for most of sci-fi.
- Biology. Surpassing the limits of human biology with gene editing.
I’m always looking for interesting discussions and collaborations. If any of this resonates, send me a note.
